Direct Action in Europe

WWW.SHAC.NET | 20.09.2009 08:36 | Animal Liberation

Update: On September 17, Luc Hansen and John Seil released the following statement:
"Today we have resigned as directors of Anchor Sub Funding, we have cancelled the company's registered office and we have stopped any services to Anchor Sub Funding. These decisions are in the process of being filed with the Registre de Commerce (Company House)."

Received anonymously:

"In the night of 7 on 8 September John Seil and Luc Hansen of BDO Luxembourg/Anchor Sub Funding got a visit by the Animal Rights Militia. At the house of John Seil [...] we left incendiary devices underneath the expensive car outside his house.

At the house of Luc Hansen [...] we spray painted the big white wall at his house with 'Luc Hansen est un pédophile' (Luc Hansen is a pedophile) so it was visible for the whole street. For the rest we left slogans on his house like 'Stop with HLS or die', 'Drop HLS or ELSE...'. And to finish off the job we set fire to his garden with incendiary devices.

We have sent personal letters to both John and Luc with our demands that they should stop any business with HLS, stop giving loans to HLS/LSR, withdraw any future loans and leave HLS in their current debt.

In the letters we left some special notes for them why it would be wise to stop supporting HLS. For at least 3 years or more they have been able to hide their filthy business. This means they are at least responsible for the death of 210,000 animals, if not more! What they did to the animals will come back at them. We are not going to hold back, we are ready to take on the fight for all the animals that have suffered and will die in the future.

The letters contained some serious threats to some of their close relatives/colleagues, which go much further then just setting fire to a car or spraypaint. Luc Hansen and John Seil know what to do and if they don't we will return very soon.

Going too far

Hang on :-

"The letters contained some serious threats to some of their close relatives/colleagues, which go much further then just setting fire to a car or spraypaint. Luc Hansen and John Seil know what to do and if they don't we will return very soon."

This isn't clever or morally right - and lets have none of your false arguments equating HLS violence to your own.

Disapointed

Not going far enough

"This isn't clever or morally right - and lets have none of your false arguments equating HLS violence to your own."

It is clever - the action served it's purpose. It is morally right - it's defending other beings from brutal attack and imprisonment.

Indeed it would be a false argument to equate HLS violence with animal libeationists. HLS kill 70,000 animals every year - animal libeationists haven't killed anyone is over 30 years. That's millions of animals killed by HLS, none by our movement.

Nice to hear a bit of humour though! I like it :-)

Is there any confirmation on the victory as I don't see it on SHAC's website at all.

HLS' BLOOD MONEY LENDERS
======================

Anchor Sub Funding have loaned HLS $30 million to stop them going bankrupt.
Anchor Sub is a front company, it solely exists to lend HLS money.

Anchor Sub was set up by some of the directors of a company called BDO
Compagnie Fiducaire, in Luxembourg in fact documents leaked to the SHAC
campaign show that staff at BDO have been working on this HLS loan; everything
we have seen, including their accounts and internal communications leads us to
the conclusion that Sub Anchor = BDO.

For this first alert against HLS' blood money lenders please contact Sub
Anchor/BDO in Luxembourg. Please help us kick off our campaign against BDO by
sending polite letters informing them of what they are involved with at HLS.

FOr more information about Huntingdon's financials please visit

EXAMPLE LETTER
================

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you because BDO Compagnie Fiducaire through a company called
Anchor Sub Funding has loaned Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) $30 million.
Without this loan HLS could not remain open and therefore BDO are in large
part
responsible for the cruel and violent actions going on inside HLS.

HLS have a long history of violence; they were most famously exposed in 1997
when channel 4 TV filmed workers punching beagle puppies in the face. In 2005
ex workers spoke out about cruelty they had witnessed and in 2008 Animal
Defenders International went undercover inside HLS exposing cruel primate
experiments and disgusting conditions. HLS also have a track record of law
breaking and manipulation of data. During just one primate study, HLS broke
the
law 526 times; and workers have been caught taking drugs and drinking on site.

HLS' financials are in a dire state, and there is a high risk that HLS would
fail to make its loan repayments to you, you may already be aware that they
have failed to meet loan commitments during 2009. This is due to a significant
loss in custom and terrible share price, on top of this many of their
shareholders are filing class action lawsuits against HLS after HLS' board of
directors accepted CEO Andrew Baker's offer to buy out the failing company for
a very low price of $8.50 a share.

Please don't take my word for it, if you want to see the state HLS are in
please read the Plymouth Report which HLS recently filed with the SEC:

www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1158833/000115883309000045/exhibit99.htm

I am urging you to explore all get out clauses in this loan and reel it in. I
also urge you to raise these issues with everyone you can within the company
and do everything in your power to halt your support of Huntingdon Life
Sciences. Please raise this issue at any meetings you attend, and let all your
colleagues know about HLS.

Yours faithfully

They have closed the shell company

20.09.2009 17:57

This means they have closed the anonymous 'shell' company and cancelled its registration.
Unfortunately it had already served it's purpose.
HLS has its money.

@tion

And now what for HLS

20.09.2009 18:34

If the shell company is gone, does that mean HLS just made $30M or are they still liable for that?

Please explain what this means in terms of targets, for example is BDO still in the list?

Maybe you should ahve waited to report the SHAC spin on things rather than announcing they've pulled without announcing what this means for HLS?

Anyway, please someone in the know elaborate on what this actually means.....

?????

As far as I understand

20.09.2009 19:37

The loan will be sold on. It only got to Anchor Sub Funding after Lion Merger Corp sold it to them (re:  http://www.secinfo.com/d13bWu.s12.c.htm).

I imagine a sec filing will reveal all pretty soon. Patience :-)
