It's like, he's Netanyaho AND he's Dracula! It's so incredibly clever! Ha ha HA ha! How does Latuff do it, constantly coming up with such deeeeep and witty analogies.

really excellent

It's not going to happen...

No matter how much pro-terrorist, anti-semitic drivel Latuff churns out, there is no Palestinian "right" of "return". Neither are 12½ million ethnic Germans going back to East Prussia, Pomerania, Silesia, the Sudetenland. Nor are migrations caused by the partition of India going to be reversed. At the very best, if (by some miracle) the Palestinians can renounce terrorism and recognise Israel so that a final settlement can be reached, the survivors from those who voluntarily walked 20 miles down the road in the balmy spring of 1948 just might get to enjoy their twilight years in Israeli geriatric care.

Reality Check

Home Sweet Home.

"

Equating the small problem of Israels forced and lengthy land grab in Palestine to Germany's former territorial annexation or India's partition is a bit lame.

Israel just isn't big enough to compete.

The problem we have here is that Western minds have always been inclined to overstate the Israeli case. This came about because the post-war generations in Europe have always felt very guilty about what happened to European Jews in Central Europe at the hands of Nazi Fascists. Guilty minds who have always felt partly responsible for failing to stop this attempt at Genocide.

Ever since then, European minds have always done Israel a favour by talking up its Intelligence Services, its Armed Forces and its ability to defend itself. We have even suggested that Israel has Nuclear weapons just to keep the Palestinians in place, despite the Israeli's being forced to tell the truth. It has no weapons of this nature.

What we are seeing now is a former, guilty, generation passing into history to be replaced by a new, more objective, generation that doesn't see things in quite the same way.

No matter how you look at this, the Israeli's have sponsored the most appalling acts against the Palestinian people in order to keep control and in order to continue to project regional power in that part of the world.

The Israeli cause is a lost one. In exactly the same way the former, and now defunct, apartheid regime in South Africa failed, so will the Israeli cause fail. Its a shame, but this fact is now undeniable.

In truth, what will finally do for the Israeli's will be those who tried to defend them against all reason. Those who endlessly tried to defend them no matter what they did. The Gaza action in the early part of this year was the final nail in the coffin. Those who tried to defend the appalling violence really made a pigs ear of it.

Its a shame, of course. We would all have preferred to see these two groups live harmoniously, side by side, but it was not to be. The Israeli's became convinced that unending force would work, and ultimately they were wrong.

For those keyboard warriors sitting at home trying to convince themselves they were doing the right thing...

You killed a nation.

this would be more impressive

This would be considerably more impressive an argument if it didn't come from someone who won a cash prize from Iran's 'let's draw anti-Semitic cartoons' contest.

From Wikipedia: "he has also participated and was placed second, winning $4,000, in the 2006 Iranian International Holocaust Cartoon Competition."

How did the last comment breach the editorial guidelines? I don't see "mentioning that the cartoonist Latuff won a prize for taking the mickey out of the Holocaust" in there.
