Vestas day of action - today

SCAC | 17.09.2009 07:26 | Climate Chaos | Energy Crisis | Workers' Movements | Sheffield

We will be leafletting at Sheffield train station (outside main entrance), from 4:30pm. The Vestas campaign have produced a broadsheet leaflet with details of their campaign, and we will also hold a collection to raise more funds for the campaign to continue.

In Rotherham there will be a public meeting with Richard, a worker from the Vestas factory, and other workers from current disputes. All are welcome and the meeting is to be held at 7pm at the Unity Centre, St Leonards Road, Rotherham.

Richard will hopefully be in Sheffield the following morning too to do solidarity work, so if you would like him to visit your workplace, college or union branch, or are able to help him get around, please contact Phil on 07810 824 223.
For more details on the campaign to save the Vestas jobs and wind turbine production operation see:

Remember the campaign also calls for people to wear green ribbons to represent support for green energy and green jobs.
