The News Cast

Israeli soldiers kidnapped seven Palestinians, including one woman, on Wednesday at dawn in several West Bank districts.

Soldiers invaded Nablus and Qalqilia in the northern part of the West Bank, the central West Bank district of Ramallah, and also invaded Bethlehem, where soldiers broke into and searched several homes, and kidnapped seven residents, local sources reported.
In related news, on Wednesday at dawn Israeli forces invaded Bil'in village, in the central West Bank. Soldiers inured a number of people and ransacked houses. Troops also attacked local journalist Imad Burnat and destroyed his camera.

Staying in the West Bank, eight new cases of H1N1, better known as swine flu were discovered on Wednesday in the northern West Bank city of Nablus. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the city announced that with the eight cases of today the total number of H1N1 cases has reached 15 since Tuesday.

On Tuesday the Palestinian Authority closed down a school in Nablus after discovering seven cases of H1N1 among students there. The Palestinian Ministry of Health added that six of the eight cases were from students of the same school closed on Tuesday while the other two are parents of a student from the same school.

In other news, Israeli media sources reported that a number of Palestinian home-made shells hit Israeli areas north of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. The sources announced that the shells landed in open areas causing neither damage nor injuries.

Meanwhile Palestinian sources reported Israeli shelling to areas in Khan Younis town in the northern Gaza Strip. Local sources said that the shelling targeted residential areas causing damage but no injuries.
