Stop Bath's Biofools - sat 19th September

Matt Banning | 11.09.2009 08:29 | Climate Chaos

Get yourselves out on the streets of Bath to protest the presence of National Grids biofuel front group, and say no to the phoney science and social and environmental catastrophe that is Biofuel

Stop Bath’s Biofools – Sat 19th September

Calling all greens, concerned locals, climate campers, activists, anarchists, recyclers, dreamers and schemers -

As part of the co-mutiny week of action (comutiny.wordpress.com), Bath Activist Network are inviting all and sundry to join us as we meet and greet Bath’s very own biofuel producers Blue NG, who are pushing ahead with plans to build 8 environmentally and socially catastrophic biofuel plants in the UK. Biofuels harm the planet, and are forcing human rights violations across the globe, so come along to join the fightback. To join the protest, meet at Bath Spa train station at 12 noon on Saturday the 19th of Sept to let Blue NG know that we won’t be fooled by biofuels. We have also invited a Blue NG rep to debate the ethics of bio fuels with us, so if that’s more your thing, meet at the Blue NG offices (Ralph Allen House, Railway place, Bath) at 1pm. The idea is simple – if Blue NG can persuade us that biofuels are an ethical source of energy, we will pack up and go home. If not, let the campaign to shut down Blue NG begin! Bring noise makers, placards, banners, ideas, anger, your mates, but most importantly – Be there for the moment that decides the future of Blue NG!

See you on the streets!
