The Defence Systems and Equipment International 2009 (DSEi) weapons fair takes place every year in London and is a meeting point for those engaged in the procurement of specialist weapons systems which are then used within conflicts around the world causing chronic hardship, injuries and death primarily to civil populations abroad.

The fair is attended by UK Government ministers and foreign visitors.

The protests take place while the UK Government is mired in an unwinnable resource war in Afghanistan and after the withdrawal of British forces from Iraq.

London, UK. September 8th 2009.
