STOP MASS DEPORTATION FLIGHTS
Come and support this protest against two imminent mass deportation flights to Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
When? Friday, 4 September 10 am – 1 pm
Where? UKBA Dallas Court Enforcement Unit,
Units 1-2 Dallas Court, South Langworthy Road, Salford Quays, Manchester, M5 2GF
Many of the peopled scheduled to be deported on these two flights fear for their safety should they be returned to Cameroon and the DRC.
Please show your support and help us oppose mass deportation flights because they :
• operate in secret, putting companies' profits over public accountability
• limit refugees' legal rights
• allow more abuse of deportees
• cause great distress because they give too short notice of deportation time and date
• Attract more attention in the country of arrival, together with stigma of being branded as returning criminals

The HMI deport people, it's not a secret, it's in the papers all the time.
• limit refugees' legal rights.
After arrest they are given exactly the same right and entitlements as any other prisoner, however it is a "found commiting" style offence, there is no real defence under law, you are or you arnt, no grey area.
• allow more abuse of deportees.
If you have proofe of the abuse of deportees then the complaints proceedure is well known and used, also whilst in custody every prisoner is available to the "lay visitor scheme" 24 hours a day and no police station can refuse a member of this scheme.
• cause great distress because they give too short notice of deportation time and date.
This period can be from 24 hours to an indetermined date, the detainee has the right to have thier personal effects brourght put on the flight with them. Also, which is worse, prolonged detention or imediate deportation to a country that they are framilier with and have a good understanding of the language.
• Attract more attention in the country of arrival, together with stigma of being branded as returning criminals
Is they have been flown out "in secret" how does the other country know about it?
Please dont forget that under our law they have broken the law, they are criminals. sorry but that how it is.
There are a large number of nationalities that belong to nations the gov cant deport to and so dont, these people normally get limited entitlement to remain.
