Manchester College strikes again!

Staff at Manchester College will go on a one day strike on August 27, protesting against compulsory redundancies and union intimidation.
Teachers and creche College Protestsworkers whose jobs are under threat, including Union branch secretary Dave Swanson, are currently waiting on the outcome of appeal hearings, which they have been forbidden from attending.
The management are also planning to introduce new contract terms for teachers and replace the unions facility agreement. The teachers union, UCU, will be campaigning against these changes, beginning with this Thursday’s strike.
They have called for supporters to join them on the picket lines between 8am and 10.30am, at the following sites:
Moston- Ashley Lane, Moston
Shena Simon- Chorlton St.
St Johns- Quay St.
Nicholls- Hyde Rd
Northenden- Sale Road
Welcomb St- off Ashton Old Rd
