EDL banned from Luton

DB | 21.08.2009 10:57 | Anti-racism | Social Struggles

The far right are banned from marching in Luton for 3 months.

Following their racist attack on shops and cars in a Muslim area of Luton, the right-wing football hooligans, the EDL are banned from protesting on their planned demonstration in Luton in September and in Luton for the next 3 months. The news has come through hope not hate who are taking some credit for sending 14, 000 letters to the Home Secretary Allan Johnson. Its only a small victory and who knows they may even still try to march in Luton and elsewhere and anti-fascists need to be ready to oppose them.

11th September 2009: Harrow Central Mosque
19th September 2009: Luton .
10th October 2009: Manchester City Centre

is

5th September 2009: Birmingham City Centre
11th September 2009: Harrow Central Mosque
10th October 2009: Manchester City Centre

But where is the logic in banning them from one? Why not all of them or none of them?
