May Day "Fantasic Four" Update

Most of the four have already started their sentences, so let's fucking support them. Regardless of what you think of their actions, they are members of our community and we must support them. They are targets of the state, but most importantly they are ours. Jail can be horribly alienating so please take five minutes to help lessen the load and remind them that we are thinking of them. Oh, and course, letters/phone calls to elected officials stating your displeasure with this ridiculous witch hunt are always appreciated!

Bryan, a Tacoma-based Anarchist has begun his ridiculously long 73 day sentence (originally 120) as of Saturday 8/16 at the Thurston County Jail. He could use some books and zines to help pass the time and keep him going. They must be ordered/shipped from a publisher or a bookstore. I believe they only take paperbacks. Paper-only zines can be mailed in letters or envelopes. Literature on prison struggles, new anarchist/communist translations from Europe, and any introductory anarchist texts are especially appreciated. Use common sense when mailing Bryan stuff. If it's on paper and written in ink or pencil, it will probably get in but things like glue, glitter, polaroid photographs, paper clips, and anything obviously bad could get him in trouble -- even if unsolicited. If you want to send newspaper clippings, photocopy them first. Pictures can also be sent in this way. Use common sense. ALL MAIL MUST HAVE A RETURN ADDRESS! You can visit him on Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 and on Sunday from 8:30 to 11:30. Visits are extremely important to keeping prisoners going and connecting them to the people they love so much. Coming from either north or south on I-5, take Exit 104 off of I-5 onto Highway 101. From Highway 101, take the Cooper Pt. Road, Automall Drive, Crosby Blvd. exit. From Cooper Point Rd., turn right at the traffic light onto Evergreen Park Drive and continue approximately 3/4 mile. Turn left onto Lakeridge Drive for approximately 2 blocks.

Shyam will be starting his sentence THIS SUNDAY. If he is able to find a job, he can be at work during the day and only has to go to jail at night. If you know of places that are hiring or can get him a job, please get in touch ASAP.
