Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers screening in Leeds

Dom | 07.08.2009 21:58 | Anti-militarism | Iraq | Terror War | Sheffield

The story of what happens to everyday Americans when corporations go to war.

As part of the build-up to its much anticipated regaining of its club license, the Common Place in Leeds will be showing Robert Greenwald's acclaimed documentary taking you inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq.

The film will be shown at 7pm at the Common Place, Leeds city centre this Sunday 9th August. A tasty vegan supper will be available for donation after the film, plus the obligatory popcorn. The Common Place bar, selling local organic booze, will also be open.

It should be remembered that CACI, the Abu Ghraib corporation, are currently EU approved contractors with sensitive contracts such as with English and Welsh Health boards.
