Another attempt of censorship in Greece?

From Greece we have no access to ANY indymedia.org. Of course we have access at indymedia.org.uk, so I can post this article. Is that a general problem of the indymedias OR has sth happenned ONLY in Greece? Could anybody who is out of Greece access athens.indymedia.org OR any other indymedia.org?

This is very urgent!!

It's not censorship or repression or what ever. The domain records held for indymedia.org were out of date and probably not confirmed with the company that holds them, Dotster. The company has suspended the record. Guess it just takes someone who has the correct passwords telling Dotster the correct details for the WhoIs records and normal service will be resumed.

Rule1: it's more likely to be a fuck up than a conspiracy.

I'm able to access indymedia.org and athens.indymedia.org without any problems. Is the problem occuring across Greece or in specific regions?

I would strongly recommend using a program such as Tor (

http://www.torproject.org/), which routes your connection via a third party in another country, helping get around such blocks.

I'm from France and also unable to connect to any indymedia.org since last night (global, .ch, toulouse, lille, grenoble, nantes, etc.).

Cant connect to any Indymedia except the UK one
