And hand over bases in Helmand to US.

British troops will officially end combat operations in Helmand province after the election of some more drug lords to the Afghan parliament in September.

Speaking from Downing Street Brown will said: "Today marks the closing chapter of the combat mission in Helmand and I have hung the banner I borrowed from Bush in Downing Street to mark our great victory..

“We need not feel bad about legging it from Afghanistan as we went there to invade and take over - without firing a bullet.”
