UpRise: Rise Festival Picnic in the Park

freelondon | 08.07.2009 11:13 | Anti-racism | Culture

Sunday, July 12th marks one year on since Europe's largest anti-racism event, Rise Festival, last took place.

Since Mayor Boris Johnson cancelled Rise Festival in May, he has continually failed to understand how sorely missed an event will be this year despite protests from music artists, trade unions, politicians and, of course, thousands of fans like you.

So, on Sunday, July 12th, we want to show Boris how much we loved Rise Festival and all that it stands for. We can't organise any music due to the council's licensing restrictions and the short notice, but what we do ask is for you to join us in Finsbury Park to chill out, chat to like-minded people and generally have a great day basking in the spirit of Rise Festival!

Look out for the UpRise: Save Rise Festival banner and come say hello: bring your friends too as we will be continuing to add names to our petition, keeping the pressure on Boris!

All of us at UpRise HQ look forward to seeing you for a sunny Sunday in Finsbury Park on July 12th!

We will be there to tell the truth about mass immigration!

We will be there to tell people the truth about mass immigration. We are not scared of the misguided people in the anti-racist, anti-British movement who want to destroy our country.
