The so called private security firm hired by the (legally debatable) owner of the land were all wearing a brand called Thor Steiner, favourite fashion mark of our local neo-nazi gangs. It has since come out that one employee of this security firm is currently charged with racially motivated murder. 300+ Czech police protected this band of thugs while they totally trashed a space which has been squatted for more than 10 years. The building during this time has been worked on a lot and became an iconic cultural centre in Central Europe, hosting many visitors to Prague, many alternative music concerts, exhibitions and so on.

Allegedly a minister is going to get the squatters another building. General feeling here is that we don't want their buildings and we will reclaim what we like.

This eviction was totally unjustified, legally debatable and morally wrong. But obviously as always the mainstream media are lapping it up. Please spread the word, this is another example of corruption winning over freedom and we will not stand for this any more. For more independent info check:
