should we close down Manchester IMC & go Northern (join new IMC)?

Northern IMC starting - should we be realistic and close/merge Mcr IMC?

There's a new Northern England (name to be determined) IMC starting up, with York closing down, Leeds/Bradford having been inactive for 2 years but a new collective starting there, other nearby places posting to a nearby town as the only IMC that 'covers' them...

Manchester IMC has not been active for some long time, with the occasional flurry of articles being made into features (7 month gap last year, 3 month gap so far this year). Maybe there's nothing happening much here, or maybe for the site to be exciting and more used, it needs an active collective, which we've not had for many years either.

So realistically, what should we do peeps?

Yeah I agree that merging with a new North of England Indymedia group would be a good idea.

let's get conversation going about this - at the very least let's invite the imc-northern people over for a public meeting and invite people doing alt-media in the area to come along.

in fact there are plans to do this soon -
you can get involved on this list.
