Sri-Lankan government intelligence community's chicanery is well advanced, even commenting here on Indymedia no less (previous comment by 'Terrorist stooges watch' aka Sinhalese war crime apologist). Previous commentator's unshamed deception to smear the BTF deflects attention from the far, far, far greater culpability of the Sri Lankan state in being guilty of charges of murder and genocide; it is a calculating deception to conceal the Sinhala racist agenda and war-crime apologism.

Successive Sinhalese-dominated governments in Sri Lanka has been consistently able over the years to deflect criticism and further investigation into allegations of brutal subjugation because the tendency has been to not hesitate to conflate Tamil civilians with the LTTE, as well as cynically presenting any independent agent - including NGOs, aid agencies or even UN negotiators in international mediation efforts - as tantamount to support for the Tigers. This conflation has conveniently averted attention from the excesses of discrimination which Sri Lankan governing administrations have exacted on those who the government sought to subjugate (the Tamil minority).

In a report published by Amnesty International entitled, ‘Twenty Years of Make-Believe: Sri Lanka’s Commissions of Inquiry’, Amnesty International accuse the Sri Lankan government of “failure in delivering justice for serious human rights violations over the past twenty years”, which they describe as having “trapped the country in a vicious cycle of abuse and impunity.”

In any case, the excesses of the Tamil Tiger's militant activities pale in comparison to the excesses and ourages metered out by Sinhalese Sri Lankan government forces over the years such as a wave of extra-judicial killings, abductions and human rights abuses including the discovery of mass graves in Jaffna between 1999 & 2004 indicating the esclation of state repression by the Sri Lankan government. Several Tamil MPs elected in the last parliamentary elections in the country in 2004 have been murdered, including Mr Maheswaran and Nadarajah Raviraj. Veteran Eastern Province Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham was shot dead last year at the St. Mary's Cathedral in Batticaloa during midnight mass for Christmas.

Over the years, there have been various riots and attacks on the Tamil population and their interests by Sinhalese mobs, which have consistently been tolerated with impunity, with a history of rape against Tamil women having particularly been used as a weapon. State oppression has a continuous history of more than half a century since independence and has been practiced by successive Sri Lanka governments, which is what led to the military independence struggle of the LTTE in the first place; that their militant indepedence struggle basically came about from years of systematic provocation and repression. That the Sinhalese have unadulterated racism against Tamils is now overwhelmingly clear for the world to now see; we know where it comes from - it is an underlying Nazi-like belief in Aryan purity and a violent prejudice against Tamils fuelled by a holy book called Mahavamsa, a book with controversial writings, full of hatred towards the Tamils, and yet is a book full of mthylogical nonsense such as that the Sinhalese were descended from a lion! The book perpetrates the lie that the Sinhalese are the original indigenous population of the island, whereas in actual fact the ancient Dravidian (Tamil) and Vedda population were living on the island for several centuries before the arrival of the first Sinhala people who arrived on the island with their legendary Prince Vijaya from the `city of Sinhapura in Bengal' in the 6th century BC.

Its clear from what has happened that the Sinhala are clearly racist bigots. They have no value for other people, do not respect either themselves or others, have fallen in love with a western idea that they are chosen to punish others, and now have many crimes to account for.

They have an ultra-nationalist leader called Rajapaska who has convinced the Sinhala that he is a moderate. He is not, he is a fascist imposter.

I feel sorry for the Sinhala. They don't know what they have done. They don't know what awaits them. They are a simple people and do not understand what awaits them now that this murder is over.

The first poster is a regular here at Indymedia, he is convinced that the fascist leader Rajapaska has saved the Tamils and that Sri Lanka is now reunited. He is convinced that there will be no consequences because he believes the lies told to him by Rajapaska that Sri lanka now has powerful allies and should not be worried about the 'west'.

To the Tamils, I say as a white English man. We will not forget you. We will not forsake you. You have powerful friends. And when the time comes, we shall bring justice to the rascist Sinhala and peace to the Tamil nation.
