Social landlords Swan Housing, Old Ford Housing, One Housing and East End Homes have been named and shamed by MP George Galloway in an Early Day Motion filed in Commons on June 11th, 2009.
Specifically noting the "lavish bribes" used to entice residents to transfer, the motion goes on further to note extreme unhappiness of many residents on these estates.
In Tower Hamlets resident dissatisfaction with Swan Housing and other social landlords has reached such a fever pitch that future transfers of council housing stock is now forbidden.
The Early Day Motion specifically notes that
“Residents now living under many of the social landlords are extremely unhappy over charges and services. The list of social landlords with which there is the greatest dissatisfaction includes Swan Housing Association, Old Ford Housing Association, One Housing Group and East End Homes."
The Early Day Motion also urges that essential legislation be passed “urgently” to, render social landlords directly accountable to residents and to their local authorities.

Housing 21 who let properties that are unfit to live in. Damp and structural defects that are not repaired.
