Police spy - details being hidden, AGAIN !

Lenin's ghost | 11.06.2009 10:55

Once again Indymedia editors have hidden a story about police infiltration of the UK animal rights scene. Somebody within Indy needs to come clean about this or at least provide some facts as to who is doing this and why.

 http://publish.indymedia.org.uk/en/2009/06/432104.html?c=all

The link above leads to the original post. The truth is obvious and clear but despite that an Indy editor hid the post and took the time to individualy go through all the comments to the post hiding them as well.

When Adrian Radford was finaly revealed to have been the last AR spy we had seen Indy remove all posts and comments reffering to Radford in the lead up to his Times article despite Indy editors and some SHAC people having known about Radford's activities for several weeks. Those who tried to talk about it were branded as Trolls and posts were classified as Disinformation despite them being true and known to be true by the very people slagging them off.

Now we have a police undercover officer operating right at the heart of the AR scene and having been seen involved in climate camp meetings as well but despite all that Indy editors are trying to hide this information.

Is there a mole in Indy I wonder, a few months ago I would have laughed at such an idea but I'm no longer so sure. I can think of no reason whatsover why this should be hidden, the information is clear, documented and verified by trusted people in the movement and yet Indy hides it. We deserve an explanation.

Indymedia has a long history of covering up details of police informers. Indy Scotland is full of them but nothing ever gets done.

Disinformation

I've just searched the database and there are on hidden posts with the name RADFORD in them.

Perhaps the way forward is for these "trusted people in the movement" who have "documented and verified" the information re this informer to contact Indymedia and verify the information. You can use the non-archived email imc-uk-contact at lists.indymedia.org in order to do so.

Contact Indymedia with sensitive information ? I think that there is very little chance anybody would trust Indymedia UK with information that could lead to the arrest of activists involved in the front line of the AR fight after the SHAC trials.

But

as they're trusted people who've left their email addresses on the site.

Why would they not be prepared to verify the information, in order to protect other AR activists?

And why are there no hidden posts which contain the word RADFORD?

It seems that something fishy is going on here.
