The recent elections have shown that unfortunately the BNP continues to gather strength as the left continues to die. They now have county council representation in 3 areas Lancashire, Hertfordshire, and leicestershire for the first time. And to cap it all they now have taken a giant leap and have won 2 European seats and polling nearly a million votes nationally. These are dangerous times for us all in this country and across europe, the deep slump causing rocketing unemployment, fascists and governments scapegoating asylum seekers and immigrants for the economic problems caused by capitalism, and at the same time a pathetic left squabbling amongst itself. Talk about nero fiddling while rome burns!!!!. I have warned before that anyone who is waiting for the BNP to implode from within are utterly naive. I have warned the so called left that allying itself with the so called anti fascist Searchlight organisation and its strategy of criminalisation of the BNP are wrong and is not in the left's true interests.

Ultimately the primary way to defeat this BNP is not by going around shouting nazi scum of our streets and trying to criminalise them ( a task made harder now that they have electoral legitimacy) but firstly to examine this postmodern fascism and combat it by suggestions that i made on an earlier post. Just to recap a few


Dropping the term nazi as applied to BNP members generally rather than judiciously to some individual memebers. The term is technically wrong in that the BNP owe little to Adolf hitler

Accepting that the BNP are a serious threat and will not got away

Analysing the Hybrid BNP between continental neo-populism and classical street oriented fascism.

Seizing on tensions within the BNP between the so called back to the streets brigade and the electionists.

Aceepting that the vast majority of BNP voters are not scum but individuals with legitimate concerns that have to be listened to if not agreed with.

Reviving the lost art of street politics going out and connecting with people over issues that concern them.

Opposition to stalinist scum like searchlight who are effectively work on behalf of the state and who smear opponents.

Presenting a credible alternative involving decentrilised actions by passing the central state which people have little faith in. These include local wealth redistribution, occupation of derelict buildings for comunity use, alternative currencies and direct popular democracy. We need an alternative vision in our communities

The situation is serious and i believe some of the ideas above( which are a combination of mine as well as other peoples ideas) can help in beginning a fight back against the BNP. Lets go to it!!!!
