Ecoworks Secures Local Food Funding, and Recruits for New Staff

Ecoworks is a community environmental organisation based in Nottingham. We have been awarded funing by the Big Lottery Fund's local food programme to expand FRESH - our training and food production social enterprise. We are currently recruiting for 4 new staff.

The Big Lottery Fund’s ‘Local Food’ scheme managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) has awarded Ecoworks, almost £300k over five years to deliver ‘FRESH Communities’ - a citywide project to help disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Nottingham to grow, access and eat more locally grown and affordable fruit and vegetables.

To deliver this, and other projects at Ecoworks, we are recruiting for the following roles:

Education and Training Development Worker: To develop and oversee Ecoworks’ environmental and horticultural training
Horticultural Education Worker: To provide training in organic food growing
Local Food Worker: To Co-ordinating production and distribution of fruit and vegetables and deliver training
Administration and Finance Worker: Providing office based support to our community activities
Casual Catering Staff (for occasional work)
