Stop Asda expansion in Shipley
Green* | 22.05.2009 22:40
Asda has submitted two planning applications to Bradford council that will massively increase the sales area of its' Shipley store and add 129 parking spaces to the car park. If you wish to vote, there are local councillors tha specificallyt oppose these plans (green though I don't agree with voting, I do agree with stopping multinationals).
- Asda's expansion will make it much harder for independent local shops to survive.
- Asda's expansion will mean more delivery lorries, more traffic congestion and more pollution for Shipley.
- Asda''s expansion will mean more air pollution, more neighbourhood noise and more carbon emissions
The deadlines for objections to these applications are 22 May and 26th May
Their references are 09/01848/FUL and 09/01850/FUL.
You can object in writing to Ms Fiona Tiplady, Development Management, Bradford council, 8th Floor Jacob's well, Bradford, BD1 5RW, or via email to Fiona Tiplady
One letter or email per person is best
