Victory for British and Polish Workers' Rights

[21/05/2009] As a result of several major protests around the UK at factories, power stations and oil refineries, victory has been declared for British and Polish workers. Until recently, Polish workers, under European law, had to accept the average pay and working conditions of Poland, as they were legally employed by Poland, even if they were living and working in the UK for British companies. The strike at Aberthaw Power Station has been called off at the last minute.
