National Vegetarian Week (NVW) is the annual awareness-raising campaign promoting inspirational vegetarian food and the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle.

To celebrate NVW Nottingham Animal Rights is doing the following:

Monday May 18: Free Food Giveaway - Giving away free samples of tasty vegan food to the public to promote a veggie lifestyle, Market Square - Nottingham.

May 19: 1pm. Competition. Chili Dog eating contest - A contest for passers-by to participate in, to show that veggie food is tasty, filling, and not just grass and lentils! Market Square - Nottingham.

May 23: Information. 2pm, Market Square, Nottingham. Environmental display - A visual representation of how much grain, water, land and C02 it takes to produce a beef burger
