if its a legal campaign why are you so concerned. you have really confused everyone infact most people think you making alot of stuff up. why?

This whole camden campaign seems to have been a farce from the beginning.

The insults and slurs against AR people, and this current "we were hacked" and then it's changed to "someone took over (I guess there is no concensus decision making in that group then - if someone can "take over" or "hand back").

As for the "phone is in the hands of the police", I'm inclined to believe that the person claiming that is state/a troll who wants to prevent people contacing the group.

The police do not have my phone...I have it.

The campaign is a legal, peaceful campaign.

We have also written to, been published in and interviewed by several newspapers including The Guardian, Evening Standard, thelondonpaper, London Lite, Camden Gazzette, Camden New Journal, Islington Gazette and Islington Tribune.

Our myspace page and computer were in fact misused by someone attending the Margarete Center [a drug / rehab /mental helath center] which we have already explained previously. While allowing this local person to help with the campaign was a mistake it is time to move on from this mistake. The rehab center could in fact close to make way for a lab which is why this person wanted to help. At the time this person's help was welcomed but as we have said this turned out to be mistake.

Most of the malicious writing regarding this campaign and myself is done on Indymedia which can be done by literally anyone, about anyone, to anyone anonymously or under anyones' name and most people will disregard it. It is possibly being done by the same person who is herself under the care of psychiatrist and has not only made allegations against myself but has made repeated malicious reports to the RSPCA and the police resulting in traumatised animals and has even reported AR people to the RSPCA maliciously and written malicious letters and has fabricated letters "from" other people. Many people in AR know who this is. Because I feel that her own mental health problems are her own business I will respect her privacy rather than broadcast her name all over the internet.

Anyone who genuinely knows me both in and outside of AR will know that this a genuine campaign, that I care about this issues and that I do not have "mental health problems". If I did, then I would expect support and compassion from people who consider themselves "caring" as all AR people are surely? Mental Health illness like any other illness is nothing to be ashamed of, indeed some brilliant, amazing and respected people have had mental health problems such as Sinead O'Connor and the formidable and much loved Frank Bruno. I think people should be made more aware of mental health issues rather than ridicule those who have them. Anyone who uses the "you are mental" insult as way of attacking people should be ashamed of themselves. Most of the attacks on myself have been personal. When I started this campaign I expected something like this and will ignore most of it.

People who meet me and genuinely want to help the campaign, who do help the campaign will and do find that I am a very different person than the one portrayed by the malicious person behind these attacks upon me. This person seems to have nothing better to do than trawl Indymedia regularly looking for what I have written or "written" and responding to it which should tell you something about this person and their smear campaign.

Why would anyone bother "making stuff up" such as the myspace / yahoo were hacked? It's easily done and happens a lot. If people were going to "make stuff up" I think they / Mandy would find something more exciting to make up!
None of the so called "AR" people who are supposed to be against vivsection have written anything helpful or consrtuctive about the lab...all they do is attack Mandy. Which side ARE they on, one wonders?
Why did no -one else submit a govt petition fro example? The only postings asking people to oppose planning permission or contact the council are on obscure websites / Keith Mann's site which considering as he describes himself as the "terror chief" on his myspace is enough to put anyone off.
People should bear in mind that the people on the Regents Park / Somers Town estates are just ORDINARY PEOPLE who are just against the lab...not hardened "terror chiefs" or "proffessionla [i.e. out for money] campaigners.
The people living here are ordinary folk who are doing their best to fight the lab...the lab is a £500 million project and there will of course be people with a financial veted interest in this lab and in stopping campaigners. As for the other comments, while it is true that some people might be put off by "hardcore" Ar people [I respect Keith Mann and think he has done a bloody good job helping the animals] most people see through govt propaganda and disruption.

the person writing this slanderous information is a methadone/heroin addict pertaining to be Animal Rights. Methadone is a drug that has been orginally tested on animals. If this person is really into animal rights then surely this is hypocritical for her to take it.

The things that are being said here detract from the real reason for the campaign. By slandering people, this only serves to show the divide within animal rights amoungst its own people.

We have stated from the beginning that the Stop Camden Bio Hazard and Animal Lab is an inclusive campaign that anyone is welcome to support, regardless of whether or not they are a vegan, vegetarian a meat / fish eater or using medical prescriptions.

People should be aware that everything we consume or use now is tested on animals and that means everything from your drinking water, your food additives, the pen you use, the dye in your clothes, the herbs or supplements that you buy from a health food shop....as regulations become tighter and tighter it is unlikey that you can truly find anything that has not been tested on animals at some point [including ingrediants]. We are living in a society where the pharamceutical industry are gaining a grip over everything including nature.

However where the Camden Lab is concerned the residents biggest worry is the risk of pathogen leaks...Foot and Mouth disease, Blue Tongue disease and Swine Fever were leaked into the water supply from Pirbright in Surrey. Such a leak in central London would be catastrophic. This is worrying for all of us, not just veggies.

As the person [rather bizarrely] who states that personal attacks cause division then launches one I feel I must answer this on behalf of all of the people attending the Maragarete Center who have helped and supported and continue to support the campaign against the proposed bio hazard and animal testing labs due to be built in Camden. It is true that the Margarete Center might close to make way for one of them although this will not be straight away. I will not have these people criticised by people who look down on others and their problems without responding to these comments. Many people who may well look down on such service users will still use recreational drugs such as ecstacy or cocaine which are also tested on anaimsl in drug tests in labs. Everything is. There are approximately 4,200 class A drug addicts in Camden and around half of these people attend the Margarete Center day rehab clinic that currently has no needle exchange. At the original meeting held by residents at the Somers Town Community Center Frank Dobson enraged the community when he said "I might not be able to stop the lab as the Wellcome Trust have a lot of money but at least I stopped the needle exchange". This led to a lot of shouting and people calling the MP "Oi". Camden needs a needle exchange.
Camden has a massive class A drug problem and it has to be addressed. It is very easy for people who have no experience or understanding of inner city problems to criticise people living here, we have even been sent hate mail calling us "council estate scumbags". The people who want to build the lab here and their supporters have no idea of our needs, their attampts to build the lab reflect this.

In solidarity with Ms Hitchens I will say that like many people including Daily Mail / Evening Standard reporters such as Will Selfe / amazing writers / musicians / professionals including doctors I have experienced drug problems so I am not some "middle class do gooder who does not know what I am talking about" when it comes to the problems facing the Margarete Center service users and other service users in inner city estates across London and further afield...I have lived it.

While some people might try and use this to slur campaigners on the Somers Town and Regents Park estates I will stand by the many people living here who need help. What these etstaes need is council homes and community facilities not a potentially dangerous lab that has been ill thought out.

Josie Hitchens is not part of the Stop Camden Bio Hazard and Animal Lab and never has been or likely to be. Please keep to the lab and refrain from personal attacks. As for Ms Hitchens she is not an animal rights activist and is in fact a microbiologist who is off work with stress. She is a diabetic insulin user which might explain her syringes whcih have been mentioned elsewhere. Either way this is private.

The service users of the Margarete Center have a right to speak out against the possible closure of the rehab center which could close to make way for the lab.

Personal attacks upon these service users helps no one and is usually done by people with little life experience and who live in middle calss enclaves with no idea of inner city life...the lab, if built will be put on a council estate. This is appalling.

The campaigners have even recieved hate mail from people calling us "council esttae scumbags" whcih sums it all up in a nutshell.

You have grassed on Marion from FRIEND farm animal sanctuary. You called the police and the RSPCA there after a row where you tried to sell puppies and then claimed that Marion "stole" them. This led to you calling the police and the RSPCA & environmental health in revenge.

You have grassed on a man [with misleading innaccurate info] from East London resulting in him and his dog being tear gassed. They were both found innocent.

because of mandy fords inagination and false allegations about certain individuals many rescue organistations have lost out on financial support. so vile are her allegations about people she has now cost animals their lives as they cannot be transported to safety because of these allegations. funding would have directly supported unwanted animals due to be put to death. sanctuaries that work non-stop to support those animals have now lost out DIRECTLY as a result of her slander. these people should receive a full apology because they work tirelessly to save animals that no-one else wants and they have had to endure being bombarded with emails by her, when they simpley want to be left alone to get on with caring for animals.

It appears she spends all her waking hours (in the middle of the night) sat at the computor sending malicious mails to anyone who will listen, making up false email accounts just to try to threaten and intimidate people who do rescue work.

she claims she is plagued by false stalkers while she herself sets about stalking those that have tried to help her. she is very unwell and needs some mental health support.

Is there anyone willing to help this lass and that will not be slandered in the process? I doubt it. many have tried and failed, we do believe that she is a lost cause.
