London L&S will be hosting a BBQ fundraiser for Ford Visteon workers, sacked but fighting on and inspiring a nation. Start time is 1PM to follow on from the weekly rally outside the Visteon plant. There'll be 2 barbecues cooking meat and vegan food and a bar - all proceeds go to the workers. The BBQ will go on as long as the food lasts and the party will go on as long as people are partying. Held in the big courtyard space behind the Centre.

1PM - 7PM Danceable music! Reggae, Rock n Roll, Ska, Soul, Punk, Brazilian
Indy etc
7PM Dance music! DnB, Dubstep, Techno etc
(open decks, bring your tunes! Subject to being not rubbish!)

Event IS FREE but a donation of £4 would be smashing. More important you come though.

NB -- There is also a Conference 09 benefit gig at the Cross Kings that
night, so we'll have a break at 7pm to let people know that's
happening. If we still have a lot of people who'd rather stay at
Freedom, we'll put another shrimp on the barbie and some tempo on the
music. Considering that is bands and this is DJs we shouldn't be eating
into each others audience.

We'd ask everyone who can make it to support the LCAP action in Hackney
at 2pm that day, and see you down at the BBQ afterwards.
