Remember Gaza: National Demonstration: London Saturday 16 May
Free Palestine - End Israeli Occupation - End the Arms trade
Assemble 12 noon Malet Street London WC1E 7HY
This is STWC organising it but i figure it couldnt hurt to stick up on indymedia for all to see.
Back in January Palestine was all anyone could talk about but now we do nothing in London. its shameful shit. we've let G20 divert our attention. we need to re-focus and remember that although that police are brutal, someone died, climate is still changing, the rich are rich the poor are poor etc palestine is blockaded as we speak and israel are pursuing their racial policies of living space and segregation. so lets get out on the streets were we belong and try, try, try to make whatever little difference we can on may 16th.
also no factionalism please, im sure the swp are somewhat involved but dont let it put you off.

International solidarity: what's about the Tamils?
03.05.2009 21:01
but why the STWC are not supporting the Tamil people in Sri Lanka? What's happening in the Vanni region is much, much worst than what's happening in Gaza, up to 8000 people have died since January and many more will die if the Sri Lankan army carry on bombing civilians from the air and from the sea, starving them, keeping aid and medication out of the area and putting those who flee to the government controlled area in concentration camps where humanitarian organizations have little or no access. Thanks for answering to my question.
Gaza x 100 = Tamil Eelam
