Jolly's circus demos

Western Animal Rights Network | 01.05.2009 12:38 | Animal Liberation | Birmingham

Peter Jolly's Circus Evesham, Knowles Hill off bypass just follow the upside down directions (they haven't even noticed that they have put them upside down)

It was planned only to have a couple of low key demos at this circus. In reaction to the extreme violence and threats meted out by this bunch of losers our plans have now changed and we have arranged the following;

Saturday 2nd May 15.00-17.00ish

Sunday 3rd May 14.00-15.00ish

Monday 4th May 16.00-17.00ish

We are aware that many activists are very busy this weekend but welcome anyone who has the time to attend. We warn that this circus is very violent and advise that no-one waits at the gates by themselves. Please do bring banners and video equipment if you have it. We are demonstrating in full cooperation with the police.

Above is a rather interesting interpretation of events and in the comments section rather unique take on moral and legal matters.
Abusing animals=good
Two men punching teenage girl in face=good
chasing teenage boy through an orchard=good
Driving at protestors with scant regard for children=good
Making maturbatory gestures and unzipping flies in front of a toddler=good
Homophobic/misogynistic language/ threats/swearing =good

Some peaceful protestors handing out leaflets= evil terrorist scum throw away the key!
Maybe those who are so inclined will contribute.

Nothing new thank goodnes for Indymedia who are the only news source on which activists can really rely.

Jolly's Circus Demonstration

02.05.2009 07:27

Having witnessed and seen these people in action, how they intimidate and abuse people's rights to protest and campaign peacefully for caged animals. Then i ask people to support any others asking for help in demo's, because circuses that abuse people and animals alike have no place in this society or indeed any. They think their above the law and can do what they want, and to be honest unless we stand up to these people then they will keep getting away with it. If their willing to attack women and hit people then think what they do to the animals when no-one can see.

Can anyone give a little better description of where these animal abusers are located? Knowle Hill doesn`t appear to be on my map! Have you got a road number? Thanks.

See you at the circus!! :)

Dear map reader

The circus are situated just off the Evesham by-pass the A46, knowle Hill is signposted. There is also an upside down circus sign pointing the way (THEY put it upside down not us, we don't think that they can tell the difference).

More circus locations

12.05.2009 18:44

Prisoners of Peter Jolly's Circus are reported to include: bear, camels, zebra, mules, cow, ponies, horses, llamas goats, geese, ducks, snakes, birds.

It may be a sign of the times that Jolly's do not list forthcoming dates on their website at  http://www.peterjollyscircus.moonfruit.com/, but only list their current location.

However an archive of past dates is kept by the Animal Rights Calendar at  http://www.veggies.org.uk/event.php?ref=331#jollys.

Locations from previous years can give an indication of future plans; this is certainly more so with the 'great' british circus (currently near Potters Bar), Circus Mondao (Rainworth, Notts), Bobby Robers (Newcastle), Zippos (next stop East Ham, London, then Wallington, Surrey).

Details of further dates and press reports can be sent to the Animal Rights Calendar to keep the archive more complete.
