Mayday Flash Mob Friday 1st of May outside Bank tube 5:04pm sharp!

Flash Mob UK | 30.04.2009 18:13

A few of us from the flash mob movement have decided to organise a Mayday flash mob on Friday the first of May at 5:04pm. At that appointed time hopefully many hundreds or even thousands of us will suddenly appear at the location outside the Bank tube station.

This event was inspired by the recent G20 protests at Bank place back on April 1st. Try to get to the Bank area for as near as 5:04pm as possible! Turn up and spread the word.

Not a flashmob!

30.04.2009 19:05

Dear flashmobbers,

I believe that you did not actually come up with this idea but are actually piggybacking onto an event already organised and called out by the Space Hijackers.
 http://www.spacehijackers.org/html/welcome.html

Why are you pretending its your idea? This is about Mayday, and about the Police State. There are political ideas involved which is more than can be said for flash mobs as they are now (eg a little bit jumped the shark and recuperated by the commercial establishment in the form of tmobile adverts and other cool hunting bullshit.)

Have your own ideas, invent your own flashmob somewhere, don't latch onto an already existingng idea and take the credit for all the people than turn up.

flashmobs are so 2008

Corporate g20?

30.04.2009 19:24

Hahahah a marketing campaign inspired by the g20 protests, maybe we could all dress as police officers and each kill an innocent person at the same time! Great stuff!

A Bill Hicks quote comes to mind. "By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing, kill yourself."

Flashmob nonsense

30.04.2009 19:31

Genius - loads of middle class twats from Clapham rejoicing in the power of, er, being able to turn up at the same place at the same time...that'll be something to tell Tarquin and Felicity about when they get older..
Perhaps the rest of us turning up for the Workers May day events at Clerkenwell Green and later, coincidently, at 5.04 at the Bank, to remember the innocent victim of recent police/state oppression will stop and think for a minute that, hey, its not important after all, why try when really, the most important thing in these desperate times are just to all turn up in the one place at the one time? GROW UP FLASHMOB FOOLS.

This has been posted by the office junior at MI5.

The poor unpaid intern was given the task of discrediting any actions happening on May Day and this is the best the poor blighter could come up with.

TOMORROW 5:04 AT BANK IS NOT A FLASHMOB

GUILTY
A CELEBRATION OF THE POLICE STATE

THERE IS NO PLACE FOR FREEDOM IN AN AGE OF TERROR! GIVE UP THE FIGHT AND CELEBRATE OUR STATUS AS HAPPY PRISONERS. HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE BEFORE WE LEARN TO DO AS WE'RE TOLD?

TURN YOURSELF IN AT

THE BANK OF ENGLAND
FOUR MINUTES PAST THE STROKE OF FIVE
MAYDAY

CONVICTS - Dress in your best stripes and come on down to the excercise yard to walk in a circle with your fellow inmates. Sneak some contraband (Sound Systems, Moonshine, Cake, Kettles, Party Games) Past the guards

POLICE - Dress in high-vis yellow or riot black. Encircle the prisoners to piss them off and start some fights. Accept no food or drinks from the convicts because you never know what might be in it. If you plan to join in the "clubbing", make sure you remove your ID numbers and bring covering for your face.

IF THEY WANT A NATION OF CRIMINALS THEN LET'S LET THEM HAVE IT...

Lame commenters - try critical thinking instead of taking everything at face value. You impresionable sillies are MI5's wet dream.

The more the merrier!

Hey why is everyone trying to disuade flash mobbers from turning up at the Bank at the same time as the space hijackers event? Sure the more people there are the better this action will be! Would you all rather only 300 people turn up rather than a couple of thousand?

Also whats with the elitism? Is your message; "You can only come to the Bank for this event if you are a hardcore politico? Flash mobbers stay away you are not political enough." What a great way to get new people involved in the anti-capitalist movement, act like snobby elitists.

Bloody hell you are worse than the cops! Thats what the bloody cops want to do to scare everyone away from coming to such events. Well done for doing the cops job for them.

disillusioned anarchist is actually an employee of Saatchi & Saatchi - the advertsing company behind the t-mobile 'life's for sharing' advert filmed at liverpool street station (as a flashmob dancing in the concourse).

For those old enough to remember saatchi & saatchi were thatcher's favourite ad men. Todays event will be part of a new t-mobile advertising campaign.

Space hijackers being out-witted and co-opted by a slicker media operation. Gullible just isn't the word.

See you all on tv.
