BNP Activists Again Visited in W.Yorks

Antifascists | 29.04.2009 18:11 | Anti-racism | Sheffield

More BNP activists get night visits

Last night our antifascists crew again went out to visit the homes of BNP activists in West Yorkshire - this time in Leeds and Bradford. As before locks were glued, cars damaged, and the words - BNP SCUM - painted large on front walls and doors - So their neighbours can see exactly who they are. We will not tolerate fascists organizing in our communities.

tapping on a Chisel Point

Hope you are informed about what you do - it would be horrible if you were the main aggressors in the end, harrassing people who think differantly (even if errantly). Dont be so righteous. People will fear you too like they fear fascists - i dont want your type of world - its not so PC to say that is it. Hope the chisel point is made.

BNP Promotion

29.04.2009 22:10

Why does The Morley Observer newspaper continue to allow the self promotion of BNP councillors through the letters page and others?

They have a Councillor Chris Beverley and town Councillor Joanna Beverley. They are very active in the area with clever targeted leafleting. They also manage to get a letter published nearly every week in the local paper Morley Observer & Advertiser.

nice one, and long may such attacks continue

Excellent to see fascist scum being attacked!

Be careful when posting news to Indymedia - use something like Tor to hide your IP address or a public computer with no security cameras around (not so easy these days).

And answer to Spitze - the BNP want to gain authoritarian power for themselves, to be the head of a hierarchy. Anti-fascists seek no such power for themselves, they don't want authoritarianism for themselves, they just want to stop those that do want it.

That's the big difference.

Whilst the BNP might want to gain power (and they might seem innovative - if not totally regressive in doing so) it is niaive to think that use of bullying / harrassing tactics ever moves things on. These approaches are also potentially regressive - that is my point. Real power would transcend that type of approach. In any other context this would be outrageous - simply put the means is mean and could make the people doing this mean too. Is it not really testosterone led?

Sorry Spitze, but you're talking rubbish

These fascists are not being targeted because they think 'differently' as you put it, but because they are active in a vicious racist party. You don't want a fascist-free world?

I hope these anti-fascists continue their good work.

"People will fear you too like they fear fascists"

And I hope potential rapists with fear their potential victims in the same way.
A bit of fear saves a lot of lives. Reality might hurt - but there we go.

"Power comes from the barrel of a gun" - If you want to change (like most of us do) this then pick up a gun and defend yourself, don't lie in front of it and feed the power. Fight back...

Fight Facism with Facism?

01.05.2009 12:25

I appreciate the legitimate grievances behind these actions but I'm not sure causing damage to an individual's property is really going to help matters. It'll probably cement their belief in Facism even more.
Is there not a hypocrisy in fighting their extreme intolerance with more intolerance.

You can't even spell Fascism - And that's just the start of your ignorance.

ah - the old can't-win-an-argument-but-can-only-point-out-a-typo-mistake....

I can see it now. Gordon Brown's retort when being asked a question:
"You can't even spell it. End of discussion"

You used a capital A on the word "and". You can't start a sentence with "And", even if it is hyphenated. You don't know anything and you're ignorant.

one small step

"some of the worst atrocities are made in the name of freedom"

Back in tribal times, one group would attack another group because of what they believed in. We still go it today. This is no different to listening to religious fundamentalists say they must attack other religions. They are doing the "rightful" thing. By not believing in christianity, you are condeming your soul to an externity in hell.

Intolerance always start small, a bit of intimidation etc. But they always end up becoming bigger and turning into witch hunts. I don't see any difference between what these anti-fascists are doing compared to any other extremist group.
