World Day for Lab Animals March in Chile

Saturday, 25th April: About 500 people marched in the centre of Santiago against vivisection. The march started with a performance that represented a person wounded by vivisectors, expressing how people and humans suffer and feel the same.

The march moved through the university neighborhood of Santiago, where several private universities that practice vivisection are placed. They use animals for classes in biological sciences careers and perform 'research' on them, just to get more funds and "prestige". The compassion and anger could be felt in the people, shaming these universities and exposing their dirty actions.

After passing this place, the march continued through one of the busiest avenues in Santiago, showing the horrors of vivisection. The message was sent to everyone with banners, chants, placards and leaflets, making them know what happens in these universities, cosmetics and household products companies, and HLS and their filthy customers.

The march ended in a park, where people could visit animal rights organisations information stalls and lots of vegan food.
