Air strikes on so the called safety zone are continuing, in violation of Sri Lankan government's own announcement. Five air stikes Monday 27th April, hundreds of civilians killed or maimed. Civilians are running out of food. http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=29201
Civilians fleeing bombing and starvation the war zone are put behind barbed wire, in concentration camps where aid workers and international organizations have very restricted access. Families are often being separated. At the highest of hypocrisy the Sri Lankan government are saying the civilians are being 'rescued' from the Tamil Tigers.
Protests in London's Parliament square have continued for three week consecutive and are entering the 4th week. Today the protesters went to the Sri Lankan Embassy.
Parameswaran Subramaniyam, on hunger strike for 21 days, is in a very fragile state.
Peace strike against genocide this Wednesday 29th April, please come early if you can or get there during your lunch break.
