IDF OUT OF GAZA - IDF OUT OF WEST BANK - IDF OUT OF LONDON
Pro-Palestinian activists have called a demonstration to protest against a planned appearance by an Israeli Defence Force Entertainment Troupe in London on Tuesday 28th April. The Troupe is sceduled to appear at the Zionist Federation's Israel 61 Family Show at the Artsdepot in London's N12.
The Zionist Federation has been forced to move the show, after the original venue, the UCL owned Bloomsbury Theatre, cancelled the original booking once they were made aware that IDF soldiers were in the line up. Artsdepot management have stated in emails that no IDF soldiers will be present in the audience, or the lineup - a claim which is contradicted in yesterday's Jewish Chronicle. As the Zionist Federation has already lied about the soldiers to the previous venue, and subsequently been forced to try and keep the new venue a secret, campaigners have already scored a victory.
They are determined to build on that success by causing disruption on Tuesday night, with a view to shutting the show down. They will be gathering outside the theatre in Nether Street, N12 0GA from 7pm. They are urging people to bring noise making equipment to help drown the IDF out.
