BNP says some members are oddballs, troublemakers and liars

(and perverts, drug dealers and loonies)

The British National party is urging its members not to set up official party blogs in the run-up to this year's European elections because "they can't write proper English" and "get carried away with conspiracy theories", according to a leaked internal guide for senior party activists.

The handbook says that some BNP members are "oddballs", "Walter Mitty characters", "compulsive liars" and "born troublemakers", and advises activists: "If you hear something odd or unpleasant about someone either forget about it or ask them about it to their face."

Polling experts believe that the far-right party, led by Nick Griffin, has a chance of picking up its first seats in the European parliament in the June elections....

... "oddballs", "Walter Mitty characters", "compulsive liars" and "born troublemakers"

sounds like a lot of people who write on indymedia too!

I think the general 'politics' blogging thing attacts a lot of people that fall under these categories by its very nature. A family man who spends time with his kids, does the DIY and plays some rounds of golf at the weekend is always going to be more normal than a political blogger who burns the midnight oil spouting their own theories.

Most bloggers are have an element of Walter Mitty regardless of the BNP

The Leadership are Worried

The European Elections are the greatest chance to obtain huge - someone might have said "virtually unlimited" funding - for the inner party. Why let that be put at risk by the Myspace and Facebook six form fascists?

The problem for the Leadership is too much information has left their control. There are those on Facebook and Myspace who unknowingly let slip all sorts of FaceParty type nonsense.

Best for the foot soldiers to never believe a word about anybody in the party.

James - were you born an idiot, or did you have to take lessons?

Jeezus, some people seem to relish their own ignorance and stupidity like its a badge of honour....

The BNP claim that it has "oddballs", "Walter Mitty characters", "compulsive liars" and "born troublemakers" amongst its members is simply an attempt to gain credibility as a mainstream political party.
