Peyman Piran is a leading student activist in Iran who was forced to flee after being involved in anti war and anti regime protests. At the moment he is in a detention centre in Norway awaiting a decision which could see him returned to Iran. If like many other exiles he is returned his life will be in danger. Students for Freedom and Equality have asked for wide support and help in ensuring Peyman is not put in danger. Peyman Piran is the Iranian leftist activist who is affiliated to the group,Students for Freedom and Equality( Daneshjooyan-e azadikhah va barabari talab ).He was arrested on December 2007.After his release in 2008, he fled to Norway to refuge there. Unfortunately the Refugee Council of Norway didn’t accept his appeal and now he is deported by the Norwegian state. If he returns to Iran, then he will be at risk of torture and other ill-treatment by security officials of Iran .We ask them not to deport him and understand his dangerous condition.He had also been arrested in 1999 in Tehran university demonstration and he’s known by a lot of Left political, Human Rights and Women and Social rights activists around the world.
