i really don't think that it is him; that guy in your photo is of average height; the guy who hit the women was pretty gigantic. also the guy in your photos has blue topped hv jacket, doesn't that mean he was not tsg? i dunno

Yes, but sometimes officers from the TSG are part of forward intelligence teams.

just to clarify, the reason people think every pig in a blue/yellow jacket is a Forward Intelligence Team (FIT) pig is because they used to be the only ones wearing them, a few years ago.

The FIT do not have a separate uniform: they just got issued the flashy new blue/yellow jackets before all the other pigs - a couple of years ago - because for some reason these shits with cameras are viewed as "elite".

So not every pig in a blue/yellow setup is in the FIT; its just a new uniform style being rolled out across the london police gradually.

The blue & yellow jacket IS Forward Intelligence Team uniform. Also used by Football Intelligence. However the FIT is NOT a unit. It is a training course that hundreds of cops do. For this reason loads of different faces are seen in FIT jackets as well as the regulars from the Public Order Division. The cops above are probably TSG assigned to protect the FIT as they usually are on large scale events. The reason for the jackets? Firstly it enables other pigs to immediately recognise them in chaotic situations. Secondly it makes the protesters/football hooligans feel that they are constantly being watched. Their most effective weapon is YOUR paranoia.
