On Saturday 11 April, hundreds wearing black marched in memory of Ian Tomlinson from Bethnal Green Police Station to the place at which he died, where flowers were laid.

Tried to play it but Media Player said cant play it.

What's the point of putting stuff on here that we cant watch.

Why not convert to a more user friendly format.

This video should be compressed to a manageable size just as photos are. There is no point uploading a film of this size to the site, it uses up expensive bandwidth and hardly anyone will be able to watch it.

If you do manage to download and watch the video you'll notice a quivering Chris Knight declare he is connected with indymedia. As far as I know he has no links to any indymedia collective. He also uses our radical slogan 'don't hate the media, be the media' and turns it into some reformist slogan about the police: "don't hate the police, be the police". Knight if you're reading this, think twice before you come out with this kind of crap again.

I think Chris Knight should be called on this one and many other things. He and the others who also claim to be the mastermind of the G20 meltdown (i.e. Marina Pepper) are being a disgrace. I just hope they are not the ones launching the family campaign for justice for Ian Tomlinson. His family should be very wary of this lot who are just after some political career. My advice is that they should run the campaign themselves with the help of the solicitors who have taken the case and stay clear of careerists and attention-seekers.

servicemen's union?

The banner at the front of the march is the servicemen's union. I tried a web search but couldn't find out what it is, but sounds like a union for the armed forces. Is that the case? and if so, were they there because of some connection with Ian Tomlinson ( i.e. was he a serviceman at some stage).

Its a quicktime file - so media player won't play it.
