Gotti, Destroyer of Worlds

Nematode | 12.04.2009 03:26 | History | World

Watch out for immature gods.

It was bath-time for Gotti. Gotti loved bath-time. As his mother began to fill the tub, Gotti grabbed his toys and threw them into a pale. Into the bucket went his zoo of plastic animals, a toy boat, and many regiments of plastic toy soldiers, cowboys and Indians. With the pail in one hand and a tiny toy inflatable raft in the other, the little boy ran naked to the tub. He slid in. His mother shut off the water and left.

Now was the time Gotti had waited for. He poured the bucket of toys into the small inflatable raft. He arranged the toys and spoke, “I am your God,” said Gotti in a loud voice. “Worship me!”

The toys did nothing, they just sat there. Angered Gotti yelled, “I am your God, worship me!” Still the toys did nothing. “Worship me or you will perish, he screamed!”

The toys did nothing.

Gotti grew angrier.

At last, in a huff, Gotti put a few of his favorite toys into the small boat and began rocking back and forth in the tub, creating a large wave which shook and tossed the raft about. Waves began to pour into the raft. Only the toys in the tiny boat were safe. In a final act of wrath, Gotti grabbed the raft with both hands and plunged it beneath the water, into the depths of the tub. The small boat of his favorite toys floated as the rest sank. Gotti laughed with the sound of wicked joy, “Bwahahahahaha!” he said.

His mother came and said, “Gotti, I think you've been in there long enough. It's time to dry off.” She handed him a rainbow towel.

With the rainbow towel in one hand and the boat containing his handful of favorite toys in the other, Gotti ran back to his room and set the boat high upon a shelf.
