The petition talks of the camp as 'entirely peaceful', yet even in the widely circulated "this is not a riot" video people throw things at the police, with justification.

You'd be better off petitioning the climate camp to organise some self-defence workshops!

please mr/ms authority, don't do such nasty things...

I suppose petitions keep those involved who don't want to be exposed to anything more in line with the 'reality' of a majority...any wonder there's so many of those idiots walking around at these sorts of things mulling the ramifications on the 'campaigns' media image of x y or z's 'violent' response when having their options to pursue their desires forcefully reduced....
