Tamil protest still going strong /continues

Rosalba Dean | 07.04.2009 18:05 | SOCPA | Anti-racism | Repression | Terror War

There are more than 2000 Tamils in Parliament square at time of me writing including many women with children and babies and many old people. They are determined not to go home until their demands are heard. Whatever happened to SOCPA legislation... Police repression remains heavy, many people have been injuried. Please go and support. Sleeping bags needed!

Up to 1500 Tamil people died yesterday in Sri Lanka during a gas attack, that's what triggered the London protest.
Police are carrying out small raids to snatch the flags, and beating and ill treating people in the process, including the kids and the elderly. A man had a heart attack, allegedly because of the police tactics.
Lots of students and school children are in the protest.
I copy as it stands the leaflet distributed by the British Tamil Students :

-Between 250 and 300 thousand Tamil civilians are currently encircled by five full divisions of Sri Lankan armed forces within 12 square kilometers, moving in for a mass execution as we speak.

-The international community has been hoodwinked by the Sri Lankan propaganda that has concealed the genocide of Tamils under the cloak of 'War On Terror'

-Empty statements and expressions of concern from the politicians have so far not delivered any results towards addressing this human catastrophe in Sri Lanka. Continuos engagement with the UK political wstablishment has not yield any meaningful results to save the Tamils from the genocidal agenda of Sri Lankan state.

-International community's failure to act promptly in Rwanda and Darfur resulted in genocide that could have been prevented. Act now before it becomes too late for the Tamils in Sri Lanka.

-Britain has the moral responsibility of rectifying the historical injustice committed to the Tamilo nation.

-UK should refer Sri Lanka to the UN Security Council for Genocide of Tamils and War Crimes.

-Immediate UK Govenrment response required:
Intervene in Sri Lankda to agree for a Immediate and Permanent CEASEFIRE on humanitarian grounds
International Media Access to the War Zone
Immediate access to Humanitarian Aid and Aid workers

In Solidarity!

It's good to see some reporting of this, I saw a bit on the mainstream media. As someone with a lot of Tamil friends back in London, I've known about their plight for a while now, and the devastation caused to their communities by the Singhalese state oppression.

In Solidarity with protesters and with the oppressed Tamil population, and with any Singhalese workers supportive of the plight of the Tamils!

Who will last longer?

Any bets on which will last longer, the demo in London or the demonstrators' beloved Tamil Tigers, who are now on their last legs, hemmed into a tiny patch of jungle by the Sri Lankan army advancing on all sides?

This vicious terrorist group is finally being wiped out, and not before time.

It seems to me the entire Tamil population in the area are being wiped out together with the Tamil Tigers. You seem to overlook this fact. Now, I am by no means supporting the Tamil Tigers, but the 'war on terror' has been clearly used to justify the genocide of the Tamil civilian population. Are you a victim or a perpetrator of this genocidal propaganda?

For now, but not tomorrow...

"Are you a victim or a perpetrator of this genocidal propaganda?"

What a wonderfully worded turn of phrase.

Seems to me that the Tamils, like the Iraqi's, Afghani's, Sudanese and Chechens along with a whole hosts of other unfortunates, simply represent obstacles to Globalisation. They are dead because they didn't play ball. Those who killed them are war criminals and tyrants.

The Sri Lankan government of the Sinhalese globalists have simply adopted a template morality from extremists that so far have, well how many is it now, many deaths on their hands. How many people have been slaughtered as a result of the War on Terror as it has been enacted all around the world. One, two, three million?

Difficult to know because the Globalists are, just like their Nazi templateers, not keeping count. What on earth do the supporters of these brutal and tyrannical regimes think will happen in the future. Do these people think that the world will just forget the whole thing?

No of course not. The slaughter of these people will simply create an army of malcontents in the future. Armies that will instinctively understand the hopeless stupidity of trying to reason with Globalists. Non-engagement on a global level and the invocation of a new type of terror on the worlds paymasters of the future. What happens when your enemy finally realises that you are mentally ill and cannot be reasoned with...?

What the Globalists are doing now will prompt a 'war for the future' of vengeance, extreme brutality and endemic carnage but not against civilian populations, but targetted brutality against the Globalists themselves, in their headquarters and the centre of their power.

I just hope that when this operation starts (the seeds of which are being planted now) it will be over quickly and our media will have the decency to hide it from view. Because I don't want to see these terrorists bleeding all over my TV screen.
