Despite all the media attention on the actions of a few hundred individuals it should be remembered that over 40,000 people attended a peaceful demo against NATO policy.

Despite the best efforts of the authorities the march went as planned with few incidents. Though it did get gassed at the very end by some over enthusiastic cops. There was an impressive turnout from Left, Anarchist and Trade Union groups from across Europe.

You wouldn't have known about any of this if you'd just watched BBC News or Sky News.

Once again, a few hundred people taking organised direct action gets more attention than tens of thousands marching 'respectably' from a to b. Direct action works!
