The Eigg run was banned & not given police"escort" for a number of years, but now this great nottingham run is back on after protests by many people including BBC workers. It also helps send out a message to all nasty car drivers, that theres many bikers out there.
Never been on it myself, but Iam sure they wouldnt reject critical massers if they joined as 14 miles in 10 hrs means that 1.4miles/hr. Cyclists might be best to stick together, incase there are fast bits, but I doubt theyd leave anyone behind.
"All Eggs and donations for Egg run in aid of disadvantaged children in Nottinghamshire. There is also a plan to raise a bit of money for the Air Ambulance (to be confirmed). Static displays from local bike firms, helmet removal display, advice on road safety and safety in the home (but only if you want it - we're not going to ram it down yer throat).
