Monthly demonstration outside the US Embassy, London, calling for the closure of Guantánamo Bay and all other illegal CIA-run prisons around the world. Freedom and Justice for all.

Monthly demonstration outside the US Embassy, Grosvenor Square, London, W1A 1AE, calling for the closure of Guantánamo Bay and all other illegal CIA-run prisons around the world.

Regular demonstrations have been held outside the US Embassy since February 2007 - first weekly and now monthly on the first Friday of every month until Guantánamo Bay closes down.

There are still over 240 detainees in Guantánamo Bay and conditions have not reported to have improved since Obama took power and claimed to apply the rules of international law to the detainees held there, many who have been there for over seven years, without charge, trial or a real hope of an end in sight, all on the say so of Dubya that they're "bad men". This include south London father of 4 Shaker Aamer about whom Time magazine ran the following article this week:  http://www.newsweek.com/id/191413

Meanwhile, Bagram is expanding and more money and troops are being pumped in. A change we can believe in?
