.. were the protestors kettled outside the RBS, an obvious target with bizarrely unprotected plate glass windows? A more suspicious mind than mine might get all conspiratorial (damage, pillage, etc.)

- the police lines were originally in front of the bank. The lines were pushed back by two blocks, opening up the side street where the bank is. So to begin with the bank was protected. Why they didn't board their windows up is another question, but this is one conspiratorial idea which may not be well founded.
