There were quite a few FIT out yesterday, even if they did try to keep a low profile.

Evil Anarchists

29.03.2009 12:30

And a scarier bunch of thugs I have never seen.

I hear they will be bringing samurai swords and machetes as the Guardian said they would back in 2001.  http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2001/apr/22/globalisation.mayday

We KNOW they plan to bring a tank this year and fire it at the Excel centre.

Clearly these thugs have serious financial backing. Any ideas who might be financing an attack of this kind? The Cornish?

Actually, they are.

If the Space Hijackers are present, and I'd be amazed/wondering what the police did to illegally stop them (usually unauthorised phone interception and other harassment) if they aren't, they'll probably have their tank, although technically its an unarmed APC so don't expect any armour piercing rounds flying overhead.

The Guardian has a strange story about 60 illegal CCTV being switched off by Westminster council. It looks like an attempt by the council to force the government to allow them to use illegal CCTV using the G20 as an excuse. There are a couple of interesting things in the article. These cameras are radio controlled so they are interceptable and perhap hackable. Also the cost of the 60 cameras is £15 million, or £250000 per camera, which is amazingly expensive.

Evil Anarchists ...

... or undercover cops?

Do you think this spotter card is to spot the 'bad guys' (the evil anarchists) or the 'good guys' (the undercover cops)? from the pics, they look more like undercovers to me. and if that's the case, they've just been made public. oops!

These people are not cops - stop this stupid and dangerous speculation

14.04.2009 23:37

Copwatcher - this is stupid and dangerous speculation. I know a number of people on the card and they are not cops, but brave comrades who have devoted a lot of time and energy over a number of years.

People who end up on spotter cards receive a huge amount of harassment from the cops. We should be asking what we can do to stop this from happening - and how people who aren't on these cards can take solidarity action to assist those who are.

Please stop spreading rumours and start advocating solidarity.
