Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The area of Lake Samji of the DPRK has been turned into a beautiful cultural and recreation centre these years.
The camping centre for visitors, bridges, soft-drink stands and expedition roads were built on the shore of the lake in harmony with the landscape.
On the shore of the lake during the anti-Japanese armed struggle President Kim Il Sung said that a wonderful rest home for the people should be built there after the liberation of the country. His desire has become a reality at last.
The plans of the President are being translated into practice in the DPRK.
The instruction of the President on forming a powerful hydroelectric power generating base in Kangwon Province has been thoroughly implemented with the completion of the construction of Wonsan Youth Power Station in the beginning of this year following the construction of Anbyon Youth Power Station and large-scale hydroelectric power stations.
The Thaechon Power Station No.4 went into service a few years ago following the construction of various power stations with the result that the conception of the President for building a large hydroelectric power generating base in the northwest area of Korea by a new method of developing waterpower resources has been materialized with credit.
The towns and the countryside are being converted into a socialist fairyland and paradise good to live in.
The land readjustment, tideland reclamation and gravity-fed waterway projects have been dynamically pushed ahead, changing the features of the land and opening up a bright vista for increasing agricultural production.
Lots of modern stockbreeding bases and light industry factories have been built to realize the lifelong desire of the President for providing more cultured and happy life to the people.
The monumental edifices created in the Songun era are associated with the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who regards to put the President's lifelong desire into a brilliant reality as his lifelong mission and breaks through all difficulties for its materialization in the van.
