Public Investment for Private Profit?

How come the corporate media can report the building of a canal in Liverpool City Centre without any analysis of its true meaning?

£22 million of public money invested in the Private Property of Peel Holdings- Mann Island/Pier Head designed to make viable the property of a company which as the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board has sat on the dormant North Docks for almost half a century without investing one penny and leaving the area to deteriorate.

How come the corporate media is so docile that it can only seek out an interview with the spokesman of the Narrow Boat Association and not the rep. of those who will really benefit- the major share holders of Peel.

Can anyone indicate how you can use the freedom of information act to get info on where the cash has com from and what 'rights' if any the public have to Man Island?

Public investment for Private gain- sound familiar?
