More proof of a police state?

Police fly flags over 'conquered' houses.

 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/7943645.stm

Police involved in raids at SUSPECTED drug dealers homes have been raising flags in what can only be perceived as some form of self serving smug conquering symbol.

It is interested to note that the flags were left at three addresses, whilst drugs etc were only found at two. So someone who had no drugs related paraphernalia, or even drugs, in their home now has to explain to all of their neighbours why the plod have annexed their house.

Can we expect Enemy of the State flags to be left flying over our houses when we get raided on activism related charges?

Whatever next 'ey!?

Point

I think my main point was fairly clear in the first post, this displays nothing of impartial policing and everything of an aggressive occupying action which seems to have no purpose other than a self serving conquest mentality that should play no part in a balanced society.

In regards to them being "bang to rights"; "They found what they believe to be class A drugs, cash and drug equipment at two of the addresses. "

This does not mean that these items (if the police's belief is correct) belonged to the home owner, or that the home owner even knew they were in the property. I know the police view everyone as guilty until proven innocent, but I thought people on Indymedia might still hold onto the old fashioned view of innocent until proven guilty - Assuming you are not a cop, are you happy with trial by media in any case?

You also seem to whitewash over the fact that the resident of the third property involved does not seem to be "bang to rights".

Would you be happy to find out that whilst the police were raiding your house for, lets say, blackmailing BAA by doing a lock on at Heathrow, they were flying a flag from your roof to not only draw maximum attention from all your neighbours, but also demonstrate to you that they have victoriously invaded and conquered your home?
