Important G20 update from the Camp for Climate Action

camper | 13.03.2009 13:29 | G20 London Summit | Climate Chaos | Free Spaces | Social Struggles | South Coast

What follows is an important update about timing and texting for everyone
attending the Climate Camp in London's Square Mile, April 1 during the G20
www.climatecamp.org.uk/g20 Please forward this to your mates and any
lists you are on.

On April 1, we will convergence on the European Climate Exchange,
Hasilwood House, 62 Bishopsgate, EC2N 4AW at 12:30 exactly. If we are to
be successful, it is very important that we all arrive at the Climate
Exchange at the same time. We must swoop in from different directions,
and under different means to all arrive within a minute or two of each
other. We therefore advise that people meet up with their mates early,
and somewhere within easy reach of the Climate Exchange. Then, at the
appropriate moment, leave quickly, and timed to arrive at exactly 12:30.
You may even want to practice beforehand and be mindful that you may get
substantially delayed at nearby tube stations on April 1.

Things may change on the day, perhaps significantly. There is a text
message news service which will be available during and in advance of the
G20 Leaders meeting. We strongly recommend that people subscribe to it at
http://smsalerts.tachanka.org/cc/. It is possible, even likely, that the
place that we finally set up camp will not be the Climate Exchange.

Please come prepared to be as self-sufficient as possible. A list of
items to bring can be found at  http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/g20 . The
website will also be updated closer to April 1st as further details become
available.

There is also a facebook group
http//www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=49600653225 Please invite your
friends. We are currently blocked from messaging guests, so please pass
this information on to all your mates. People can also subscribe to the
climatecamp newsletter for information:

Finally, you may be interested in a game of capture the flag which is
happening near the Climate Exchange on Friday 20th of March, 6 pm from
Liverpool Station.
