DWP occupied by bankers & others.

On Monday the Department of Work and Pensions was visited by some irate bankers demanding more children to sweep their chimneys. At the same time some proletartian protesters also intervened leaving both of the main entrances to building blocked.

After a while it became clear that those who wished to visit the DWP and others were using the side entrance. So delegation went out to block that entrance too. There were no arrests by the time the protests came to an end.

The action by the London Coalition Against Poverty (LCAP) and Feminist Fightback was over the so called Welfare Reform Bill which will attack the most vulnerable in society. Both groups have vowed to continue the campaign.

Meanwhile there will be a benefit for LCAP this Friday at the Grosvenor, Sidney Road, Stockwell. Its a fiver to get in and easy listening will be provided by:
